DUI Checkpoint nets 8 arrests
Perris, CA – The Perris Police Department held a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on January 14, 2012. The checkpoint was located at Perris Blvd. and Harley Know Rd. Officers screened 2320 vehicles.
Eight were arrested, including 3 DUI suspects, 1 felony illegal drug suspect, 1 misdemeanor drug suspect, and 3 others for warrants. Officers confiscated ½ pound of marijuana.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided to the Perris Police Department by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
